Jon Crosby then began embracing acoustic music, releasing a series of recordings that featured little more than his vocals and acoustic guitar. A Complete Demonstration followed in 2005, collecting the band's early demo material onto one disc, while the double-disc Turquoise & Crimson appeared one year later. VAST returned in 2004 with Nude, the band's third studio album (and first to be released via 2Blossoms, VAST's own indie record label). Although "Free" gained some popularity as a single, Music for People only enjoyed modest success, and Elektra dropped the band soon after its release.
Two years later, Crosby hooked up with producer Blumpy and assembled a band comprising guitarist Justin Cotta, bassist Thomas Froggatt, and drummer Steve Clark to create the 2000 release Music for People. At the time of its release, auditions for a backing band for a subsequent tour were under way. VAST eventually signed to Elektra and released the debut album Visual Audio Sensory Theater in mid-1998. One such demo started to receive heavy airplay on a local radio station, leading to a major-label bidding war. VAST's material was original, as it encompassed elements of industrial/alternative (in the vein of Nine Inch Nails) and ambient music, with unpredictable samples added. Although he was able to play shows, the band proved to be a revolving door of members, with Crosby serving as the frontman and focal point. Crosby soon left high school to do home study, and he began assembling a band in order to perform some demos he recorded all by himself, under the name VAST. He was nearly signed to the guitar-based label Shrapnel, but he turned down the offer and focused on honing his songwriting chops instead. The songwriter grew up in Humboldt County, CA, and was profiled as a promising guitarist in Guitar Player Magazine at the age of 13. ( another line or maybe two, I'm pretty sure at least one rhymes with soul) I can't remember the lyrics very well but something like I'm not sure if it's the Mandela affect or something but I feel like the lyrics are from a real song that I'm just mixing up with A.M. for a while and I've had it stuck in my head for the last couple of days but when I actually went to go listen to it I realized the lyrics were mainly in Spanish, and definitely didn't have the part that I've had repeating in my head. So basically what happened is I've known the song A.M. I'm trying to find this idie rock song, probably a smaller band so I'd be lucky if anyone knows it. I just want to know if there's actually a FULL song of this, and if so, what's the name? Because even Shazam doesn't know. If you want the happy feet version, here it is. Since this was years ago, maybe I should ask her if I don't get an answer soon, but IS there a FULL song? Or is it just in the soundtrack and she's thinking of another song? Because I feel like this song is older than the game itself I'm getting curious and I want to know the full song.
She never told me the name, she just said she remembered it. When I played one of the stages in the game, she barged into my room and told me she knew what it was. It's in the Happy Feet 2 game soundtrack. I'm trying to find a certain song my mother claims she's heard.
